2022-09-30T10:30:23.126Z

This decision by the Russian president, who will deliver a speech in Moscow this Friday, comes as the Ukrainians have almost surrounded the Russian forces in Lyman in the east of the country.

The morning was bereaved by a particularly deadly strike on a column of civilian cars not far from the boundary between the Ukrainian zone and the occupied zone of the Zaporizhia region, one of the four territories to be incorporated by Russia.

At least 25 people were killed and 50 others injured in this strike, according to the Ukrainian prosecutor's office, the two camps rejecting responsibility for the bombardment.

Volodymyr Zelensky called Russia a “

terrorist

” and “

bloodthirsty scum

” after the strike.

According to Kiev, Russia struck “

with rockets against a humanitarian convoy of civilians

” who “

were queuing to go to the temporarily occupied area

”.

An official of the Ukrainian presidency, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, claimed that 16 Russian S-300 missiles fell on the area, while these surface-to-air weapons are also used by the Russians to strike ground targets.

A representative of the local Russian occupation, Vladimir Rogov, accused Kiev of having "

beaten our people, who were queuing

" to prevent these civilians from reaching the area under Russian control.

In the neighboring region of Kherson, which is also to be annexed on Friday, a Russian occupation official was killed overnight in a Ukrainian strike on his home carried out using HIMARS systems provided by the United States, according to another pro-Russian executive, Kirill Stremoussov.
