It is the turn of the presidential majority to set up an anti-sexist and sexual violence cell, and to Marlène Schiappa to take the lead.
To do this, the party wants to learn from the “
failures
” of its opponents.
In recent weeks, the Nupes has found itself in turmoil on the subject of violence against women.
In question: the Insoumis Adrien Quatennens having admitted having slapped his wife after the latter filed a handrail, and the ecologist Julien Bayou accused through Sandrine Rousseau of having exerted "
psychological violence
" on his ex -companion.
In both cases, the inner cells were seized, but criticized for their functioning.
That of LFI thus “
rather tends to stifle business
”, in the words of the former Secretary of State responsible for gender equality, Marlène Schiappa, in the columns of Le
Parisien
.
That of environmentalists is on its "
opaque
" side.
"
The cells of these parties are failures and I deplore
it", concludes the current Secretary of State for the Social and Solidarity Economy.

It is in this context that the member of the government arrives at the head of the new unit formed by Renaissance.
A tool that already existed before, but that the party wants
to "reset
".
This will now be called “Prevention Listening Action”, and will be “
focused on protection against sexist and sexual violence, and more generally on the place of women in the party, because it is linked
”.
"Cutting heads arbitrarily"
In a barely concealed spade against Nupes, Marlène Schiappa says she wants a structure "
which does not consist in cutting off heads arbitrarily or stifling business
", "
but in providing constructed answers
".
Marlène Schiappa aspires to act "
in terms of prevention by training all our territorial executives and by launching internal campaigns in relation to meetings and festive events
": "
It will also be a question of collecting the words of the victims which can be transmitted to the Movement's Conflicts Commission, with a view to possible sanctions which may go as far as exclusion
".
The member of the government specifies that there will be the possibility of “
transmitting to justice and accompanying towards the complaint
”.
The day before, the Keeper of the Seals Éric Dupond-Moretti recalled the need not to have a "
code of ethics
" specific to politics, but to rely on justice and its rules.
In this spirit, Marlène Schiappa wishes to "
constitute a group of lawyers specializing in these subjects, members of our movement
", who "
will be able to accompany the victims
".
Added to this is "
a plan on the place of women in politics
" which will be proposed to Stéphane Séjourné, secretary general of Renaissance.
