During the past three days, the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa organized 16 catering seizures in accordance with Legislative Decree No. 8 of 2021 on the Consumer Protection Law.
The director of internal trade, Dr. Yahya Abdullah, told SANA reporter today that the arrests affected Al-Youssef station in the Shaqra area for violating the sale at an excessive price of direct gasoline, based on a complaint by a citizen, and a seizure against Al-Ghazali bakery in the town of Qerfa for the violation of stopping work without informing the Directorate, and two seizures against the city bakery. Jassim Al-Khass, due to poor bread making, and Deir Al-Bakht bakery due to disruption of working hours.
Abdullah added: The consumer protection patrols organized six rationing controls against Serafis drivers on the lines of Daraa and the cities and towns of “Bosra, Karak, Ghassam, Giza and Al-Musaifra” in violation of not announcing the wages allowance for passenger transport, and charging an increase in wages.
And he indicated that the Directorate’s patrols organized six catering controls against various commercial activities “food, clothing and shoes” in the cities and towns of Daraa, Izraa, Kafr Shams and Basir, in violation of presenting irregular purchase invoices, explaining that the Directorate pulled four samples of cheese from food stores in Daraa to show their compliance with specifications.
