In the midst of the hurricane, Donald Trump is asking for donations.
However, not for the victims of Hurricane "Ian" in Florida - but for his politics.
Mar-a-Lago - Flooded streets, destroyed houses, many missing: It is still unclear how many lives Hurricane "Ian" will cost.
With its destructive power, it has devastated large parts of Florida.
While the salvage and rescue work is starting, Donald Trump has addressed the United States with a video.
But the former US President did not speak about the hurricane from his Florida home, but asked for donations for his political campaign.
"We have an important donation deadline ahead of us and we have never experienced times like this," Trump said, referring to the allegedly miserable state in which the United States is.
"Our country has never been treated with such disrespect," the Republican said, adding that the United States' reputation in the world is now extremely poor.
Trump: "We must take back our country"
“We have to change that, we have to take our country back.
We made America great and now we must make America great again.
That's why I say: Whatever you can do to help us - we have to meet the deadline," Donald Trump continued.
Donald Trump is once again causing a stir.

The 76-year-old took the video at his Mar-a-Lago home, standing in front of a wall covered with pictures of him during his tenure at the White House.
Trump's fans should donate to the Save America PAC.
The funds will support loyal Republican candidates in the US midterm elections on November 8th.
Hurricane "Ian" rages in Florida: call for donations is exciting
The video caused outrage on social media.
"Hi.
A hurricane devastates your state.
Maybe you couldn't beg for donations now.
What a styleless, clueless, tasteless, self-centered, toneless, absolute idiot!" raged a user of the short message service Twitter.
Another commented, "This guy started a fundraiser for himself while sitting in Mar-a-Lago in the middle of a hurricane that's devastating most of Florida."
A third Twitter user asked Donald Trump: "Why aren't you asking Americans to send money to the Red Cross for Florida residents who are in the destructive path of Hurricane Ian?"
Which, by the way, is hitting Florida while YOU speak!" (tvd)
