- We are entering the third phase of the war.
The first phase began on February 24, and Russia's objective was to wage a blitzkrieg to conquer Ukraine.
Vladimir Putin believed that after two weeks he could organize a parade through the streets of kyiv.
But the Ukrainian resistance pushed him back.
It was a loss and a surprise to many around the world.
The second phase began with other objectives: to occupy all of Donbass, southern Ukraine and the Kharkiv region.
He deployed a different strategy, that of a war of position.
But the Ukrainian forces launched victorious counter-offensives.
Putin was humiliated.
It is a rupture in the perception of the war: many more people in the world have started to believe that Ukraine could actually win.
