Moscow - Sana

23 people were killed and dozens injured as a result of today's Ukrainian shelling targeting a civilian convoy that was trying to move from the city of Zaporozhye to the liberated areas of the province, according to Russian media.

"Ukrainian militants carried out a terrorist attack on a convoy consisting of dozens of civilian cars, which was queuing on the Orikhovskaya highway to leave the area controlled by the forces of the Kyiv regime, which caused 23 deaths and more injuries," Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Main District Administration Council told Sputnik. Of 34 others were injured.

He added: "The Kyiv regime is trying at the same time to pass what happened as bombing by Russian forces, and to resort to heinous provocation at the expense of civilians."

According to Rogov, the Kyiv regime “seeks to intimidate the population in the part under its control and prevent the flow of people to the liberated part of the Zaporozhye region, which will soon come under Russian sovereignty,” stressing that “the Nazis are taking revenge on the people who organized a mass rally a few days ago to demand that they be allowed to to leave for the liberated lands.

Thirty people were killed yesterday as a result of the bombing carried out by the Kyiv regime forces on a convoy of refugees who were on their way to the Russian border near Kharkov.
