The walls of the National Museum in Lattakia are adorned with paintings and different color spaces for a group of young men and women, professionals and amateurs, from the Revolutionary Youth Union and abroad, gathered by a photography exhibition, and each painting embodies a unique story and tale.

The exhibition, which was held on the occasion of the organization’s fifty-fourth anniversary, came under the title “A Story of Light”, and included more than 150 images, ranging from macro and microscopy, “microscopy” and portraits, in addition to handicrafts, recycling works and images that embody the charm and beauty of the city of Lattakia with its sea, mountains and the nobility of its construction and monuments. To reflect each photographer's look, vision and sense of his work.

In a statement to SANA's reporter, the head of the Revolutionary Youth Union, Sumer Daher, confirmed the organization's keenness to document and support the talents of young people at the governorate level, in addition to adopting their achievements, stressing that hope is bound and linked to promising youth.

In turn, Sandy Al-Khair, a member of the leadership of the Revolutionary Youth Union branch in Latakia, head of the Preparation, Culture and Information Office, indicated that this exhibition is the first of its kind in Lattakia Governorate and has included different pavilions, each pavilion having its own address.

Ghadeer Ibrahim, a member of the sub-media club, indicated that the exhibition constitutes an opportunity to highlight the talents of the organization's youth, including amateurs and professionals, and constitutes an incentive for them to devise and discover their artistic skills and show the special view of each photographer.

Photographer Milad Nasra, a specialist in the field of macro and microscopy photography, which is concerned with photographing minute things such as insects, plants and very minute things that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Through special lenses and lighting, in addition to the fact that it requires professionalism and patience to take the picture, indicating that this type of photography is rare in Syria due to its high costs.

Mohamed Fatou, a student at an agricultural institute specializing in garden decorations and ornamental plants, participated in the exhibition through the recycling of broken glass, stones, old damaged pieces, and a mixture of natural and industrial waste, which he re-manufactured in artistic forms, combining handicrafts and home plants, and re-creating them in forms and masterpieces.

The photographer, Manu Shaq Sarkis, specializes in heritage and history. In her photos, she focused on the suffering of children and their view of a sheep shepherd watching school children, and another image of an elderly and elderly hand that confirms the sanctity and continuity of love over time.

Samara Mazloum and Abdel Rahim Mustafa confirmed their keenness to portray Lattakia, rural and city, and focus on highlighting the urban and heritage aesthetic features that reflect the originality and nobility of the city in colors that match its beauty and splendor.
