Guillaume was kidnapped in Paris on his way home from a party, then left for dead in a field in the Oise in April 2017.

"

It's a miracle that he is still alive, he has come back from so far

", explains, impressed, Me Matthieu Chirez.

His client, Guillaume, was tortured and then left for dead in a field in Boran-sur-Oise (Oise), in April 2017. His attackers wanted to extort his bank card code.

Two young men, Montassar Htiouech and Marvin Ticout, were sentenced this Friday, September 30 to 15 and 17 years in prison, with a two-thirds security period.

They were tried on appeal by the Assize Court of the Somme for "

theft in a meeting, kidnapping, kidnapping and attempted extortion accompanied by acts of torture and barbarism

".

In this case, two minors had previously been sentenced to five years in prison, three of which were suspended.

The affair begins on the night of April 18 to 19, 2017. Guillaume, 25, spends the evening in a bar in Paris, in the Opéra Garnier district.

Surrounded by friends, he celebrates the Paris marathon in which he participated a few days earlier.

Around 1 a.m., after several pints, the young man decides to run home.

A few moments later, on the way back, he was slapped in the République district.

The driver of a vehicle, Montassar Htiouech, offered to take him home.

Another major, Marvin Ticout, as well as two minors are also on board.

Problem, the driver does not take the direction of Guillaume's home at all.

What is he saying in the car?

Do the occupants decide, along the way, to attack the young man?

The trial did not really reveal this.

Still, the driver goes to Persan, in Val-d'Oise, then to Boran-sur-Oise, in Oise.

On the spot, the occupants of the vehicle put Guillaume through a real ordeal.

The young man is stripped: his shoes, his watch, his mobile phone and his credit card are stolen.

His attackers demand that he give his confidential code.

Acts of torture and barbarism

While Montassar Htiouech tries, without success, to make several withdrawals from an ATM, Marvin Ticout attacks Guillaume with incredible violence.

The ordeal lasts about an hour: he kicks her in the head, tries to gouge out her eye with a wrench and burns her eyebrows.

Other acts of torture, barely imaginable, are inflicted on the young man.

At trial, an experienced policeman even explained that he had

"never seen that"

during his career.

Unable to withdraw the money, the attackers finally leave Guillaume for dead in a field, half naked.

Her clothes were thrown into a ditch.

In the early morning, a woman who has come to walk her dogs sees the remains of underpants on the ground then sees a human form moving.

It is Guillaume, who calls for help.

If this lady had not passed, he would have died

”, assures Me Matthieu Chirez.

Meanwhile, his executioners are already far away, gone back to the capital.

After buying croissants, they went to the Gare de Lyon to pick up Montassar Htiouech's girlfriend.

They were found by phone.

Their vehicle, an Audi A3, was also filmed by CCTV cameras.

Today, Guillaume is better.

This 30-year-old engineer, brilliant and sporty, has courageously rebuilt himself.

"He's a force of nature,"

his lawyer said of him in an admiring tone.

The attack was so violent that the 30-year-old does not remember anything.

The family is relieved by the verdict and has only one desire: to move on

,” continues Me Chirez.

The lawyer recalls that the Senlis prosecution, followed by the investigating judge, had initially considered that this case had no place before an assize court: "

We

appealed the order of the judge of 'instruction.

We went to the Amiens Court of Appeal, which followed our argument and found that
