With about 2,000 telephone lines and 265 internet gates, the Syrian Telecom Company in Idlib is working to rehabilitate the Khan Sheikhoun Post Center in the liberated countryside of the governorate, in preparation for putting it into service soon.
The director of the Khan Sheikhoun Telephone Center Munther Aloulo told SANA reporter that the maintenance work of the telephone line network and the Internet is in its final stages, in preparation for the start of the initial trial operations, pointing out that the return of landline telephone communications and the Internet will activate the work of the government agencies, institutions and departments in Idlib governorate, and link them With its counterparts that are still operating in the city of Hama, as well as providing telecommunications services to citizens.
In turn, the engineer supervising the implementation of the rehabilitation project, Abdel-Khaleq Barakat, explained in a similar statement that the infrastructure rehabilitation of the telephone center has been completed, providing it with the necessary equipment, and re-extending the land network that was completely damaged by terrorism during the last period.
With the return of communications to work again, work will be resumed with many services and infrastructure in the city of Khan Sheikhoun liberated from terrorism, amid unremitting, continuous and joint efforts and endeavors between the government and civil actors, to improve the area in line with the continued return of its residents to their homes and agricultural lands there.
