With Syrian hands, a prefabricated room, insulated with basalt wool, was designed and manufactured by the Military Housing Corporation, Homs branch.
The Director of Planning of the Political Guidance and Media Branch, Alaa Mualla, told SANA reporter during his participation in the exhibition of reconstruction in Syria (aged 2022), which is located on the grounds of the exhibition city in Damascus that the room is thermally insulated through composite materials called (sandwich panels), in addition to a thermally greased sheet that is resistant to factors. The atmosphere is stuffed with basalt wool, and the dimensions and thickness of the ceilings and walls and the number of rooms can be controlled according to customers' request and at competitive prices.
As for the specifications of the room, it is clear that the structural structure consists of iron sections distributed in a way that bears external stresses and loads, and has a light weight for ease of moving the room and high efficiency of basalt wool in thermal and sound insulation and fire resistance, as it bears 1000 degrees Celsius, in addition to its resistance to moisture by 65 to 100 percent.
As for the room’s uses, Maalla indicated that it can be designed as a house, office, warehouse, dormitory, or residential car, and there is currently a model on the grounds of the exhibition city in Damascus, pointing out that it can be obtained by submitting an application in the Homs branch, and delivery is approximately within 20 days, and the price of One square meter is one million and 650 thousand Syrian pounds.
