In view of the burnout break of Aschheim Mayor Thomas Glashauser, the municipal council discussed his tone.

There was a lot of need for discussion and also self-criticism.

Aschheim

– The Aschheim municipal council actually wanted to discuss the climate of the discussion in a non-public meeting, but then the topic came up in the last minutes of the public part.

There were accusations, arguments and even hands.

The council made a verbal attempt to pull themselves together.

Mayor burnout

The debate was opened by Sepp Lausch, who addressed the discussion of the past few days about Mayor Thomas Glashauser's burnout break under the heading "Miscellaneous".

He complained that the mayor's illness was being used "to denounce the Free Voters."

Eugen Stubenvoll got angry about statements ("I demand that my private person not be made public") and then the factions approached each other in small steps in a long discussion.

Mood was emotionally draining

Rolf Dettweiler (CSU) said that "our mood in the municipal council has been emotionally very stressful over the past two years" and he made it clear that all four fractions of the municipal council belong to an objective discussion.

Ingrid Lenz-Aktas (SPD) was even clearer: "I find the atmosphere here horrible." She made it clear that the local councilors had all gone on the lists voluntarily and combined this with the wish that everyone would like to spend their voluntary work more comfortably in the future .

"hard fought"

When the experienced local politician referred to the sworn oath of wanting to strive for the best for the community, Sepp Lausch felt he had been stepped on.

"We too have sometimes studied contracts for days for the benefit of the community," said Lausch.

"We fought hard, but stayed on topic."

Other local councils blamed Mayor Thomas Glashauser, who was on sick leave, for the climate.

"There was no willingness to discuss the meeting leader," said Stubenvoll.

"And then there's a scandal when you don't feel like you're being taken seriously."

Get a lot from the chairperson

Sabine Maier (Greens) also claimed to have gotten a lot from the chair of the session.

Günter Sassmann (FW) recalled the last term of office, when the free voters had no chance: "We were ironed out and laughed at for our statements and applications." Now, with the change in the majority in the municipal council, this situation has changed.

Sabine Freser-Specht (FW) does not see the climate as negatively: "Of course, not everything was always peace, joy, pancakes, but we also had meetings with constructive decency." Freser-Sprecht regretted that the isolated leisure time appointments in the Corona time was only in a small group and didn't really get to know each other outside of the meetings.

CSU parliamentary group leader shakes hands with free voters

During the discussion, the deputy head of the CSU parliamentary group, Florian Meier, shook hands with the free voters and spoke of his own mistakes: "It's not a problem that only comes from one side.

I don't exclude myself and I've already reacted emotionally." He then also gave an insight into his inner life: "I often go home with a bad feeling." His appeal: "If we burn out here, then we won't bring it the performance that we should actually bring.” Between the lines of many long speeches it became clear that nobody is really happy with the situation and that we would like to work together on a better climate and constructive discussions.

Everyone wants the best

During the general exchange, the statement was made several times that the various groups were not so far apart and that they all wanted the best for Aschheim.

This was also emphasized by the third mayor, Marion Seitz (Greens), who was in charge of the meeting this time, and who deliberately gave the open discussion plenty of time.

"We all have a common goal," said the chair of the session after a discussion that was needed.
