The subject of the fire station is once again heating up tempers in the southern district.

In the meantime, the Reithofener Wehr had published a project report, which Mayor Deischl had removed shortly afterwards.

Pastetten/Reithofen

– The subject of the fire brigade is heating up again.

A project report that had since been published on the Reithofen-Harthofen weir website was removed again at the behest of the mayor.

The activists wanted to ensure transparency and accuse the municipal council of demotivating behavior.

Mayor Deischl, however, regrets unclear communication.

The reconstruction of a misunderstanding.

Initially, there was displeasure last week because the municipal council immediately postponed two applications from the Pastetten and Reithofen-Harthofen fire brigades.

It was about the purchase of a team transporter for pastries and the desire of the people of Reithofen to buy a car at their own expense and convert it for the First Responders (we reported).

The fact that both applications were postponed on the grounds that they had to wait for the planning for the tool shed first annoyed not only the activists.

Several citizens turned to our newspaper with displeasure.

So does Thomas Huber Jr., head of the 30-strong First Responder Team Reithofen-Harthofen.

He writes that the first responder car was argued that it needed a parking space in the fire station, "whose planning is already on the home stretch."

Huber: “Not only is this argument complete nonsense, because most of the time the car would be at home with the person on duty anyway.

We also question the home stretch!”

According to the expert opinion, the best location between Harthofen and Reithofen would be on communal land.

“If you wanted to, you could start construction almost immediately.

(...) One could almost get the impression that the municipal council doesn't want to make any progress at all," complains Huber and writes about the demotivating behavior towards the emergency services.

The team leader refers to the website of the fire service, where the project report on the requirement plan including a site report for a joint fire station is available for download.

If you click on the website www.feuerwehr-reithofen-harthofen.de, you will be informed that the fire service is making the project report available to the public in the form of the presentation by the company IBG from the municipal council meeting on July 7th on its homepage.

Because: "Of course we support the transparency that has been demanded in the municipal council for years," says the military.

However: The associated links are "no longer available".

An update from September 26 indicates that the project report was removed again "according to the instructions by our mayor".

If you have any questions, please contact the municipal administration.

When we asked, Thomas Huber Jr. explained that Mayor Deischl had agreed to publication.

The fire brigade put the report on the Internet on September 24, two days later Deischl instructed him to take it down again.

Thomas Huber Sr., commander for many years, tries to explain: During a conversation between Deischl and managers of the fire brigade, the mayor "said that he would not put the report on the municipality's website".

At the same time, Deischl made it clear that he didn't care what the fire department did with it.

When asked by our newspaper, Mayor Deischl is noticeably uncomfortable about the whole matter.

"There was a misunderstanding," he says on the phone, and admits: "I made a mistake." He made the requirement plan available to the fire department.

“I didn't think about publication, but I didn't explicitly reject it either.

We didn't get along well enough."

The fact that he did not want to put the plan on the community page is because the draft has not yet been agreed with the community council and is therefore not intended for the public.

There are still open land issues to be clarified.

The paper was indeed presented to the municipal council, but in a closed session.

In the location analysis by the company IBG, which is now also available to our editorial team, a property on Schulstraße in Pastetten and a property between Harthofen and Reithofen are compared.

The latter is seen as the better solution.
