Today, the activities of the Festival of Al-Muwashahat and Al-Qudud Al-Halabi Festival, under the title “Made with Magic”, started in its first session, which is organized by the General Authority for Radio and Television on the stage of the Dar Al-Tarbah theater in Aleppo.
The festival, which was revived by the orchestra led by Maestro Moaz Qarqnawi, included a bouquet of Aleppo songs and muwashshahs from three maqams: Al-Nahwand, Al-Ajam and Al-Saba.
The Director-General of the Public Authority for Radio and Television, Habib Salman, told reporters that work will be done to establish festivals for the intangible heritage of each governorate, and the city of Aleppo was chosen to form the cornerstone of this national media and documentary project, which will include all Syrian geography.
The artist, Faris Ahmar, explained that his participation included presenting a group of Qudud and Muwashahat from the shrine of the Ajam, including: “My eyes are my eyes, I saw, and I came out, O Mahalla, its light came out of its father’s house,” stressing the importance of holding such festivals that express the artistic heritage of the Aleppo City of Qudoud.
The artist, Rana Moawad, pointed out that the revival of the Aleppo Qudoud is a message that we present to the generations with the aim of preserving the original Syrian heritage, highlighting it and emphasizing that the city of Aleppo is a beacon of giving and the ancient artistic heritage.
The artist Omar Sarmini indicated that these festivals constitute an invitation to future generations to preserve and highlight the authentic Tarab, pointing out that he participated in presenting a bouquet of Aleppanese heritage from the shrine of boyhood and singing an improvisational poem entitled "Lah Nour Al Nour".
