The Central Police District Licensing Team received a complaint a few days ago, alleging that the person in charge of the bar provided customers with rapid test sticks with negative results in order to mislead law enforcement officers. The officers conducted in-depth investigations yesterday (30th).
During the operation, a 63-year-old non-Chinese female staff member was found in a bar in the district to provide customers with rapid test sticks with negative results for law enforcement officers to check.
Officers then arrested the female staff member on suspicion of "attempting to mislead a police officer".
In addition, a 37-year-old non-Chinese male responsible person in the premises was suspected of violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F), and a summons was issued to him.
A 63-year-old non-Chinese female employee was arrested on suspicion of "attempting to mislead a police officer" after offering a customer a rapid test stick with a negative result for law enforcement officers to examine.
