The Arab Writers Union announced today the formation of the Syrian youth cultural team in cooperation with the team (One Hundred Writers and Writers), which includes talented youth from various Syrian governorates, with the aim of nurturing young talents, which constitute the hope of the national cultural future.

During a cultural celebration held on the amphitheater of the Al-Assad Library in Damascus, the head of the Arab Writers Union, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani, stressed in his speech the union’s support for the youth and standing by them, pointing to the importance of the cultural weeks held by the youth in the governorates despite the difficult and harsh conditions.

Al-Hourani indicated that the Union gave a wide scope for young cultural talents to write in the Union's newspapers and periodicals, and supported them to participate in the Union's activities at the level of Syrian geography, given their creative ability to do so, their love for their homeland, and their desire to defend its culture.

Dr. Al-Hourani indicated that at the end of the celebration a book, printed at the expense of the Federation, will be signed, which includes writings by many young people of different technical levels.

Jude Al-Dimashqi, founder of the team (One Hundred Writers and Writers), said: This national youth cultural demonstration proves the opposite of what is rumored about our youth, that they do not read. Cultural normalization with the Zionist entity.

The cultural celebration included a documentary film, during which various literary and cultural activities were shown for young people in the governorates of the country and the means of cultural interaction that young people follow through their creative awareness.

The Khader Abu Al-Muna Youth Ensemble presented musical pieces of authentic rap and some committed songs, in addition to a theatrical performance presented by some young people, emphasizing the importance of young people and their cultural presence.

In a statement to SANA, the activities official in the Arab Writers Union, Al-Arqam Al-Zoubi, said: Shedding light on youth culture is the most important thing that cultural institutions do, because they are the next cultural asset, and it is the title of true civilization.
