On Facebook, a video of a Wiesn waiter pouring leftover beer together caused a stir.

The marquee provides an explanation for the action.

Munich – A Wiesn mass should be freshly tapped.

But what a visitor to the small Wiesn tent in Wildstuben observed this week initially suggested otherwise.

Were "Noagerl", i.e. beer leftovers from used mugs, thrown together at the Oktoberfest and served again?

no

Appearances were deceptive.

But the fuss was great.

Wiesn: Video of beer leftovers in the marquee causes excitement

The Wiesn visitor had filmed the scene and posted it on Facebook.

The video shows a waiter standing in front of a sink.

He fills beer mugs - apparently with a brown liquid from the basin.

Does he collect Noagerl and bottle them again?

It seems so, because right next to him another waiter is busy filling mugs with freshly foaming beer.

A waitress fetches mugs – it is not obvious at first glance that these are just the freshly tapped masses.

It's easy to find commentators on Facebook who express their opinion about the video: "Disgusting!" In reality, everything was different.

The sink drain was clogged, the waiter had to scoop it out, as Wildstuben landlord Klaus Renoldi corrected.

"Of course, the waiter should have used a bucket." Of course, not a drop of the broth was served to the guests, who only got fresh beer.

“Unfortunately, you can read a lot of negative things into a video like this.

But, apart from the fact that the waiter used the wrong container to scoop out, we were not guilty of anything.” The video can still be seen here on Vimeo.

Meanwhile, the question is getting louder as to whether cold-rinsed beer mugs at the Wiesn are contributing to the Corona wave.

And then another Oktoberfest visitor caused a stir by pouring his beer into a plastic bag.
