(CNN Spanish) -
The Mexican driver Sergio "Checo" Pérez, of the Red Bull team, was "unmatched" and won the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix with authority this Sunday.
With this, "Checo" Pérez added his second first place in the 2022 season, after the victory he achieved at the Monaco Grand Prix last May.
The podium of the Singapore GP was completed by the two Ferrari drivers: Charles Leclerc was in second (more than 7 seconds behind "Checo") and Carlos Sainz in third.
After this result, the Mexican driver is only two points behind Leclerc in the F1 drivers' championship, with Max Verstappen (Red Bull) leading alone despite finishing seventh in this Sunday's GP.
