Thirteen people were killed, and three others were missing due to the torrential rains that fell in Venezuela during the past two weeks.
The Venezuelan public channel VTV quoted local authorities in the central and western states of Lara and Tachira as saying that 13 people, including an infant and an eleven-year-old boy, died as a result of drowning and lightning caused by floods caused by heavy rains, while the search is still going on for three. People also went missing as a result of the bad weather that left destruction in a number of states of the country.
