About an hour later he was located and the police caught him at the end of a foot chase.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested this morning (Sunday) on suspicion of robbing a convenience store with an ax on Histadrut Street in Ashkelon.
He was taken for questioning, after which the police will decide whether to ask the court to extend his detention.
According to the suspicion, the suspect entered the store in the morning wearing a mask, threatened the saleswoman with an ax and demanded that she hand over the money in the cash register to him - and fled.
The police opened an investigation and after about an hour he was located and arrested at the end of a foot chase, after he tried to escape from the police.
The ax he allegedly used was seized.
