The activities of the Nights of Muwashahat and Qudoud al-Halabi Festival (Made with Magic) were concluded this evening on the stage of Dar al-Tabbeeh in Aleppo, which is organized by the Public Authority for Radio and Television.
On its second day, the festival, which was revived by the orchestra, led by Maestro Moaz Qarqnawi, and with the participation of a number of Aleppo artists, included a group of Aleppo songs and muwashshahs from four maqams, namely, al-Bayat, Sika, Hijaz and Al-Rust.
The artist Abboud Hallaq presented a group of muwashahat and qudud from the shrine of al-Bayat, and said in a statement to SANA’s reporter: The festival presented various links of qudud and muwashahat, to the people of a city in love with the heritage of Aleppo, which has become an integral part of its artistic identity that we inherited from grandparents and fathers.
The artist, Mustafa Hilal, participated in presenting a bouquet of qidood and muwashahat from the shrine of al-Rast, pointing out that the establishment of these activities constitutes an invitation for future generations to preserve the heritage of the city of Aleppo, which is rich in qodd and artistic muwashahat.
And the artist Hamza Rajeh indicated that his passion and love for the Aleppo qidud prompted him to study singing and playing at the Sabah Fakhri Institute, and he participated in presenting a bouquet of qoodd from the shrine of Sika, pointing to the importance of preserving the original Syrian heritage in all governorates, and highlighting it.
The artist Ahmed Jakiri pointed out that the festival is a documentation of the authentic Aleppo heritage that we inherited from great artists, such as Sabah Fakhri and Sabri Mudallal, and an affirmation that Aleppo has returned to its joys and artistic events.
