Actually, it should have been two years ago, but Corona is known to have spoiled everyone's mood.

Now you can finally laugh again with the Niederdingen theater group De Deanga.

Niederding – From October 28th, four performances of the play “Funny Vagabonds” are on the program in Niederdinger Bürgersaal.

It is "a laughing story from the white-blue Landl with singing" in three acts by Hermann Schuster.

The first presale date in the Schützenstüberl is on Sunday, October 9th.

About the content: You cannot live on the income from the “Zum Hirschen” inn alone.

The innkeepers Burgl (played by Agnes Pointner) and Xare Brunner (veteran Xaver Kreuzpointner in the leading role) run a farm on the side.

The housewife and cook has her hands full around the house, and her husband is particularly good at 'arbat oschaffa', but is still an honest innkeeper and farmer.

Two servants, the maid Mimi (Stephanie Maier) and the house and farmhand Sepp (Michael Kattner), provide their services on the farm and in the economy.

In addition, the daughter Liesl (Conny Mittermayer) works diligently.

Then one day the aforementioned jolly vagabonds (Florian Huber and Simon Heilinger) appear who – as it seems – are really enjoying their life without work.

Burgl's sister Mena (Maria Bedat) and her husband Heiner (Lukas Frank) also come to visit.

Various problems of a technical and interpersonal nature determine everyday life and, as so often in life, bring unrest and trouble into the house.

Theater-goers can be surprised at what happens.

De Deanga has been around since 1994. It all started with theater-interested young people from the two rural youth groups in Niederding and Oberding.

The independent group regroups every two years and performs plays in this cycle.

Andrea Hartung, who is directing together with Vera Kressirer, still remembers the first play, "Der Kohlrabipostel", which premiered in the Oberdinger school auditorium in what is now the Realschule.

"The public's interest was immense, and surprisingly we had to rearrange the seats and plan an additional performance." Hartung and Agnes Pointner are the veterans of the group, who have been with us since the beginning and are still there.

Hartung remembers a few plays that were even performed in the Hellinger car dealership, “because the school auditorium was not particularly well suited due to space and rehearsal problems.

Especially since we couldn't just leave the stage standing, because the school had priority".

Franz Hellinger Sr.

I had the entire car dealership cleared out for the performances and thus created a temporary home for Deanga until the community center in Niederding with an integrated stage was completed.

Hartung is pleased that "the whole community" often helps out, for example when looking for props.

"We have never lacked for volunteers."

With the net proceeds from their performances, the Deanga support various projects.

For example, money flowed into two houses for poor people in India via Kinderpatenschaft Südindien eV.

And in the early days they supported the theater group at the St. Nicholas School in Erding.

Aid transports to Bosnia, donations to an orphanage and for children in the area with heart disease are other examples, and the community's kindergartens have already been considered.

This time, too, donations will be made – to whom is not yet clear.

Hartung wishes one thing above all for the performances: "It should be light and fun in this time of problems and worries."
