This year's National Day to Double Ninth Festival spanned four days. Many citizens took their filial sons and grandsons to the Chai Wan Chinese Permanent Cemetery to pay homage to their ancestors on Sundays (2nd), which were consecutive holidays. There were not many people in the morning.
Some citizens who came to pay their respects to their ancestors said that they had suspended their mountain worship last year because of the epidemic.

Tuesday (4th) is the Double Ninth Festival. Some citizens took advantage of yesterday's National Day and today's Sunday to worship the mountain early.
The reporter observed outside the Chai Wan MTR station this morning. There were not many passengers at the bus stop of the special route No. 388 to the Chai Wan Chinese Permanent Cemetery. There were also bus company staff maintaining order and arranging citizens to board the bus.
Last year, due to the epidemic, mountain worship was suspended
At the Chai Wan Chinese Permanent Cemetery, the citizens who sweep the graves are all family members.
Among them, Mr. Liang's family of seven went up the mountain to worship their ancestors, referring to today's mountain worship as a family activity.
He thinks that the weather affects the hike up the mountain and it is more difficult. "Today's weather is hot, and it is very hard. It may be rainy and cool at the sunset, but it is hot."
Mr. Liang said that last year, due to the epidemic, the mountain was suspended. This year, the epidemic has stabilized and the mountain has been resumed. "The number of confirmed cases has dropped, and everyone is not surprised."
This time, we prepare ordinary offerings, "prepare fruits and food, which are all ordinary offerings, like flowers."
Mr. Liang plans to go to dinner with his family after worshipping the mountain. "I should be able to eat and drink tea. Everyone said it."
The weather is "cool" and it is more comfortable to go up the mountain
Mr. Zhong and his party of six went up the mountain to worship their ancestors. He pointed out that it was not too hard to go up the mountain today.
He also went to worship the mountain during the Qingming Festival last year, but the number of worshipers was reduced due to the epidemic. More family members went to worship their ancestors together.
However, due to the epidemic, I plan to go home after worshipping, "maybe they all return to their houses."
About 200 yuan to buy sacrifices
Mr. Zhou's family of six brought sacrifices made of paper and roasted meat up the mountain to worship today. The sacrifices were about 200 yuan. "All of them are ordinary. For roasted meat and sacrifices, the left 200 is used for zero mosquitoes."
He pointed out that last year's Double Ninth Festival also went up the mountain to worship ancestors, but this year because the epidemic situation is relatively stable, it is more comfortable to worship the mountain.
At the scene, grave sweepers can also be seen taking off their masks and eating food after the ceremony in the pavilion on the spot.
Some grave sweepers left behind to share food after the worship.
