The start of the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, scheduled for 8:00 p.m. local time (2:00 p.m. French time), was delayed due to incessant rain at the Marina Bay circuit on Sunday.

The opening of the pit lane and the start procedure have been delayed
," said the International Automobile Federation (FIA) a few minutes before the originally scheduled start.
This was finally set at 3:05 p.m., for a race that was to take place at night anyway.
