Iranian security forces thwarted an attempt by a terrorist group to target a train station in the city of Zahedan in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
The Iranian news agency (IRNA) quoted an Iranian security source as saying in a special statement today that the terrorists' attempt to seize the Khanjak train station in Zahedan was unsuccessful, explaining that the internal security forces clashed with the terrorists who tried to carry out the attack for half an hour.
Three members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the Popular Mobilization Forces were martyred and 32 others were wounded during a terrorist attack that took place the day before yesterday in Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan province.
The heads of the executive, legislative and judicial authorities in Iran assigned the concerned agencies to impose security and stability in the country, confront chaos and riots and maintain public security.
