Netanyahu and Deri's deal at the expense of Likud's field activists Israel today

2022-10-02T15:55:01.597Z

According to the details of the agreement, the Likud will transfer positions in the Zahav polling stations to Shas at the expense of the branches in the field • Great anger among the field activists and senior Knesset members of the party: "Netanyahu abandons the field, does not trust the branches"

First publication: Likud campaign manager Yossi Shelley and Likud chairman Benjamin Netanyahu decided to give Shas positions in polling stations known as "gold polling stations" such as polling stations, at the expense of places reserved for Likud and previously distributed to activists and branches in the field.

The "golden polling stations" are polling stations that have been marked by the Likud as places with high percentages of support for the party, so they are seen as important and are located in cities and neighborhoods identified with the Likud.

Netanyahu and Shelley came to the decision to uphold the agreement with Shas, according to which they will receive polling observer positions at the golden polling stations at Likud's expense, this in exchange for sharing information in the software for collecting data on voters friendly to Shas.

Shas officials who are involved in the details added to "Israel Today": "There is no taking positions here for Likud or Deal.

We sit together and cooperate for the success of the right-wing bloc, and as a result it was decided that we would help the Likud recruit people with experience in polling and supervision and not give it to people without experience because they are from Likud branches.

"So are our software people who cooperate in the use of data and thinking in the police that the right will win the elections."

The field activists and senior members of the Knesset of the Likud are very angry at the decision, which actually disadvantages the branches and the field and constitutes a waiver of more than 2,000 standards of work for the field activists.

Senior Likud officials told Israel today that "the field is very angry about this and rightly so. There is a lot of resentment about this decision. Quite a few oppose it. Netanyahu is actually proving in this election campaign that he does not trust the field and the branches to do the job and prefers to abandon them in favor of other parties. It will cost Likud in the elections."

These are representatives of observers inside the golden polling stations on behalf of the parties.

It was also learned that the field activists and some of the heads of the branches are angry because it is a relinquishment of positions that were intended for the Likud field activists and with it a lot of money.

This is another decision that joins a series of similar decisions for the establishment of a parallel system of encouraging voters known as "door to door" without the branches.

Shas' response will be attached when received.

The Likud did not respond.
