The prosecutor's office in Senlis (Oise) said it had indicted a 34-year-old man on Sunday for attempted murder of his ex-spouse, who received several stab wounds in the presence of the couple's young children.
The gendarmes of Saint-Just-en-Chaussée (Oise) were alerted Friday afternoon by the victim, who told them that she had been injured with a knife by her ex-husband, prosecutor Loïc Abrial said in a press release.

The couple's eldest, aged 3 and 4, were at school at the time, but the youngest, aged 2 months and 2 years, were present.
The 32-year-old woman was hospitalized with multiple wounds to her arm and back.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested not far from the home, with the 2-year-old child he had taken on his flight, continues the prosecution.
"Already known to justice for traffic offenses and aggravated willful violence committed on a third person, but not for domestic violence"
, he acknowledged the facts, the statement said.
He was indicted and imprisoned as part of a judicial investigation for attempted murder by a former partner, and the investigation entrusted to the research brigade of the gendarmerie of Clermont (Oise).
The suspect incurs "life imprisonment", recalls the prosecutor.
