Pickpockets rob Oktoberfest visitors in front of the police - a well-known pair of crooks

Two pickpockets wanted to steal the mobile phone of a Wiesn visitor in the evening with a sophisticated scam.

But the police were already there.

Munich – The Oktoberfest is not only the perfect place for partygoers, but also for pickpockets.

The police have already caught several thieves this year.

Two men made it particularly easy for the officials.

They stole a Oktoberfest guest right in front of the investigators.

As reported by the federal police, a 54-year-old drunk Austrian was standing at the taxi rank of Munich Central Station on Bayerstrasse at around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday (October 1).

The two pickpockets pretended to support him.

Before the eyes of two federal police officers in civilian clothes, one man (29) pulled the mobile phone out of the pocket of the Wiesn visitor.

Before that, he had thoroughly felt the trouser pockets of the Wiesn visitor.

The Austrian later stated that he himself had not noticed anything about the incident.

However, the theft was noticed by the police.

The two civilian investigators identified themselves and arrested the 29-year-old suspect and his 33-year-old accomplice a little later.

The robbed Austrian got his phone back.

The police are present at the Oktoberfest.

Among other things, she has already been able to catch some pickpockets – also in civilian clothes (symbolic picture).

According to the police, the two alleged perpetrators have often committed theft and should be brought before the magistrate on the same day.

During the Oktoberfest, pickpocket investigators from all over Europe come to Munich.

If you don't have your wallet or cell phone in the evening after visiting the Wiesn, it doesn't have to be a pickpocket's fault.

After a few beers, some visitors no longer have a full overview of their seven things.

And so mobile phones, wallets or even an apprenticeship contract are stored in the lost and found office at the Oktoberfest.

The discovery by the Munich police at the Oktoberfest was also quite curious.

They reported on a wheely rider who will definitely be sorely missed.
