Russia's redrawing of borders by annexing Ukrainian territories has been clearly condemned by the West.

Putin's spokeswoman Zakharova now attacked Germany.

Munich – In the background of the bloody Ukraine war, Russia annexed four Ukrainian regions – Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Cherson.

This was announced by Russian ruler Vladimir Putin himself in a wild speech on Friday (September 30).

Russia's redrawing of the border has already met with clear rejection in many countries, especially western ones.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has now reacted indignantly to statements from the West about Russian actions to change the borders.

With several references to history, the Russian diplomat shot at Germany as well as the USA.

She also recalled a quote from former Chancellor Willy Brandt on the occasion of the reunification of Germany: "Now what belongs together is growing together." According to the Russian spokeswoman, this was Brandt's "main political slogan".

Although "German fascism destroyed half of our country and annihilated 25 million of our citizens", "good will" was demonstrated in the form of understanding for German wishes.

Sacharova's conclusion after the short historical digression: In view of the historical experience, it is not up to Berlin to "babble about the 'redrawing' of borders." Memories of the events of German history are "frightening".

Nevertheless, one should not forget them, the Kremlin diplomat warned in her message.

In conclusion, Zakharova accused Ukraine of "constant repression of national minorities for linguistic and ethnic reasons" and "eight years of terror": "When you start saying that 'everything depends on the context', it's difficult to find a more appropriate context ."
