The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia organized a supply control against a factory for the manufacture of sweets Al-Obeidiya (local pistachios and coconuts), for violating health conditions.
Engineer Ahmed Zaher, director of internal trade and consumer protection, told SANA reporter that the factory was working under unsanitary conditions, and a quantity of 6 plastic containers, containing dyes and colorings, that did not contain any specifications and of unknown validity, was seized, and the violator was referred to the judiciary.
Zaher pointed out that 31 catering controls were organized in Lattakia and Jableh, including violating the weight of bundles of bread prepared for sale to citizens in several bakeries. In advance, and other seizures for not having purchase invoices and not announcing prices.
He added: Eight samples of food and non-food items were also withdrawn, to conduct the necessary analyzes, and to indicate the extent to which they conform to the Syrian standard specifications.
