Tragic hunting accident in Teano, in the Caserta area, where 57-year-old Aldo De Francesco died after being shot in the back by a shot from a 76-year-old batting partner.
The fact happened around 13.30.
According to what was reconstructed by the carabinieri of the Teano station, and by those of the company of Capua, De Francesco, a building contractor, had left for a wild boar hunt with a group of about ten hunters;
all the participants in the hunt seem to have been spaced out from each other, and the 76-year-old - resident of Carinola - fired a shotgun loaded with buckshot in the same direction as De Francesco.
When this is he collapsed, his friends took him to the emergency room of the hospital of Sessa Aurunca, where he died.
118 then informed the carabinieri,
but in the meantime the 76-year-old hunter, in shock, presented himself at the Teano carabinieri station to explain what had happened.
"I shot it, I didn't see it," he said desperately.
The man, an experienced hunter, will be investigated for manslaughter.
An autopsy on De Francesco's body will be held in the next few days.
