Damascus-SANA
Temperatures remain 2 to 4 degrees Celsius higher than their averages for this period of the year, as a result of the country being affected by a weak extension of a shallow air depression from the southeast accompanied by an extension of a subtropical atmospheric high in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The General Directorate of Meteorology expected, in its bulletin this morning, that the weather will be relatively hot during the day and fair in general, with the appearance of some scattered clouds over the coastal areas, and mist in the eastern and Badia regions.
The winds will be west to northwest in most areas, except for the coastal region, where they will be southwesterly between light and moderate, and the sea will be light in height.
Tomorrow, temperatures tend to decrease gradually while remaining 1 to 3 degrees higher than their rates for this period of the year, and the atmosphere is between clear and partly cloudy in general, with an opportunity for sporadic showers of rain over the coastal area during the night hours, and mist in the eastern and Badia regions.
