It all started on September 15 with a police check not far from the Enghien-les-Bains police station, in Val-d'Oise.
Not quite a routine check since it targets a 22-year-old woman wearing the niqab.
And thus contravening the law of October 11, 2010 according to which "no one can, in the public space, wear an outfit intended to conceal his face".
The young woman having no identity papers, the police inspect her mobile phone… and come across Islamist propaganda combined with research on the manufacture of explosives.
