Toyota Corolla Cross: more powerful, higher, more expensive

Toyota announces the start of Toyota Corolla Cross marketing in Israel.

The new Corolla Cross is actually a recreational version of the familiar Corolla.

If it sounds familiar to you, it is thanks to the previous crossover versions presented by the company (Eigo, Yaris).

The Corolla Cross is supposed to fill the gap between the CHR and Rav 4.

As far as dimensions are concerned, it can be noted that the wheelbase here is the same as that of the five-door version of the Corolla (which is not currently imported to Israel).

This means that there are 264 cm here - so the wheelbase is shorter than the Corolla sedan marketed by us.

The overall length figure is also shorter when the close increases the leisure interest with height and width accordingly.

The result looks quite impressive.

As far as looks are concerned, the Corolla Cross goes in the direction of the Rav 4 and doesn't really resemble the original car.

Inside the passenger cabin you can find a 10.5-inch multimedia screen with a smartphone connection and also a 12.3-inch projected dashboard.

The drive unit in the Corolla Cross is a hybrid and consists of a 1.8 L gasoline engine that, combined with the electric motor, produces 140 hp.

The official performance figures speak of 9.9 s to complete the classic acceleration on the way to a maximum 170 km/h.

The Corolla Cross comes here in several trim levels, and from the base level you can find important and advanced safety systems such as autonomous braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure correction, intersection collision prevention, emergency steering assistance, and more.

Prices start at NIS 169,000 for the basic trim level, which includes, among other things, split climate control with hatches in the back seat.

The intermediate version is sold here for NIS 175,000 and adds additional equipment such as a smart key, full LED lighting and more.

The top version includes a panoramic roof, autonomous braking even in reverse and more is sold here for NIS 185,000.
