The Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe is certainly the most prestigious gallop race in the world.
This meeting, which always takes place the first weekend of October, celebrated its 100th anniversary last year.
The German colt Torquator Tasso created a surprise by winning this historic edition.
He will be present again this Sunday, October 2 with his jockey Rene Piechulek to try for the double.
In a century of racing, only eight thoroughbreds have succeeded in this feat... The suspense should therefore be at its height for the 35,000 spectators at the Paris Longchamp racecourse.
