Yau Tsim Police District Anti-Triad Action Team launched an anti-crime operation codenamed "PINETOWER" in the district in the early hours of today (2nd), raiding premises licensed for liquor in the district and reminding restaurant licensees and the public strictly abide by the epidemic prevention regulations.
During the operation, officers found an upstairs bar operating illegally at 10 Knutsford Terrace, Tsim Sha Tsui.
A 41-year-old person surnamed Yao Nan was arrested for allegedly contravening the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F).
In addition, 80 male customers and 75 female customers in the bar, aged between 18 and 74, were also suspected of violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F). They issue fixed penalty notices.
The Police appeal to the public to take care of themselves and others, continue to strictly abide by the relevant regulations and minimize social activities and avoid crowded places.
