Frankfurt – When Tuba Sahinova remembers the "Miss Universe" election, the first thing that comes to mind is her aching feet.

For eight days she only walked around in high heels.

The 34-year-old from Frankfurt took second place at the renowned international beauty pageant in Miami in August this year.

The final week was exhausting.

There were several shootings every day and a camera was filming everything the whole time.

"And when the cameramen said 'please smile', then we had to smile." Nevertheless, Sahinova talks about the beauty contest in a good mood.

For the 34-year-old, it means the next step in her modeling career, as reported by fnp.de.

Sahinova was born to parents of Turkish origin in Bad Schwalbach in the Rheingau-Taunus district.

Her grandfather came to Germany in the 1960s as a teacher for Turkish guest worker children and taught at a German school.

The 34-year-old graduated from high school in Wiesbaden and studied law at the Philipps University in Marburg.

She then completed a court internship and worked as a legal advisor in a Frankfurt law firm.

Her academic background never ceases to amaze Sahinova's modeling jobs.

“People are always surprised that I went to college and worked in a law firm.

But I like this contradiction.

I want to break stereotypes.”

Frankfurter at the "Miss Universe" election: combine fashion and travel with modelling

After graduating from high school, the Frankfurt native discovered her interest in foreign countries during a four-month stay abroad in Dubai.

It was there that she first came into contact with the world of fashion through acquaintances - at the Fashion Week there.

A few years ago, the law graduate finally decided to give up her secure job in the law firm in order to combine her preferences for fashion and travel as a freelance model.

Contacts are everything in the model business, explains the 34-year-old.

In order to increase her awareness, Sahinova took part in the "Misses Germany" election last year as a representative of the Rheingau-Taunus district, where she also took second place.

While there is an age limit of up to 28 for the “Miss Germany” election, women between the ages of 28 and 50 can take part in the “Misses Germany” election.

Sahinova from Frankfurt: "A miss who doesn't smile doesn't win"

With the second place in the "Miss Universe" election, for which she had applied separately, the Frankfurter now put one on top.

For a year now she has been obliged to wear the sash of the competition on official occasions.

The sociable 34-year-old doesn't mind at all, on the contrary, she enjoys the attention.

In November, Sahinova, who is currently in Turkey for a shoot, will travel back to Miami to negotiate an engagement with the well-known model agency Elite Model Management.

And if her feet hurt again from wearing high heels, she will still smile, because: "A miss who doesn't smile doesn't win." (Niklas Hecht)
