Plastic artist Nisreen Al-Hussein tried to feel the pain that Syrians are experiencing under the harsh conditions imposed by the terrorist war on Syria, within an art exhibition hosted by “Art Casa” hall, in cooperation with the Union of Fine Artists in Sweida.

The exhibition, which included 40 artworks, was titled “Tales”, where Al-Hussein explained in a statement to SANA reporter that in each painting there is a story, and a human condition that reflects the aches and pains that befell everyone as a result of the unjust war on our homeland, and the various pressures that it caused that affected even the same family.

Al-Hussein indicated that she reflected in every ten paintings a specific subject in general, and there is an intersection between the works, as she deliberately confuses the art schools with what is realistic, with an expressive background in which there is some abstraction using oil colors, acrylic, charcoal and lead, while showing faces without features as a vision. They have become similar to each other in joy, sadness and pain as a result of what we live in.

Head of the Fine Artists Union branch in Sweida, Hamad Azzam, pointed out that the exhibition provides an important experience for the artist with different methods, techniques and schools of art, characterized by aesthetics and a human dimension in reflecting the social suffering of the Syrians.

The plastic artist Sakhaa Jund saw that the exhibition expresses what we are going through as a result of the war, and it stems from love of the homeland and fear for it and hope for a better tomorrow through what each painting carries of houses, stories and stories, talking to each other with a human depth, which we see with faces without features to move out of form to subject, What gave a special distinction and spirit to the exhibition.

The plastic artist Nisreen Al-Hussein is a member of the Union of Fine Artists, and she has participated in more than 18 group exhibitions with other artists in Damascus, and this is her first exhibition as a solo exhibition.
