300 million people in the world are affected by more than 7,000 rare diseases, indicates organization

There are more than 7,000 rare diseases that affect around 300 million people in the world, according to data cited by the National Organization for Rare Diseases of the United States.

Marisa Azaret spoke with Dr. Aurora Pujol about the importance of finding treatments for these diseases.
