Five people were killed, and 60 others were injured, in a fire that broke out during a festival in the state of Uttar Pradesh, north India today.
"Five people, including three children, died in the accident," local media quoted the Bhadohi district administration in Uttar Pradesh as saying in a statement.
The statement added: "More than 60 people sustained burns, and they were taken to hospitals for treatment."
Local officials believed that a halogen lamp caused the fire.
