The National House of Books Theater in Aleppo hosted a concert, which was held by the Directorate of Theaters and Music - the National Theater in Aleppo, and was revived by the House of Arts for Heritage Ensemble, managed by the Haddad brothers, where it included a bouquet of ancient heritage songs led by Maestro Abdel Halim Hariri.
The concert began with a compass of the oriental anointing maqam, followed by a Lebanese mawwal performed by the singer Osama Nasser, in addition to a bouquet of songs by the late artist Warda Al-Jazaery, and the singer Hossam Lebanese presented a link from the Egyptian and Iraqi heritage.
The ceremony included paragraphs of the Samah and Mawlawi dances, which gave a distinctive heritage flavor amid the interaction of the audience.
In a statement to SANA correspondent between the head of the Aleppo National Theater Department and the director of the National Library, Muhammad Hegazy, the importance of this ceremony, which is considered a conclusion to the summer activities, especially after the completion of the activities of the art gardens, which included a number of artistic and musical activities, which were very popular, explaining that the House of Arts troupe For heritage, today I presented a number of muwashshahs, which are somewhat obscure for the art scene.
Maestro Abdel Halim Hariri, artistic supervisor of the House of Arts for Heritage Ensemble, highlighted the importance of presenting submerged maqams such as the Maqam al-Nakriz, explaining the role of artistic teams in stabilizing heritage by presenting rare maqams for which songs were not composed, stressing the need to shed light on them to prove their aesthetics.
The director of the House of Arts Heritage Ensemble, Muhammad Haddadan, explained that this evening Tarab includes melodies by Sheikh Omar Al-Batsh, and the artist Abdul Rahman Mudallal, 40 years old, and no one has performed it on stage since Muhammad Khairy sang it.
Oud player Ahmed Dabbagh pointed out the importance of presenting and illuminating the lost old works, noting the need to present sub-maqams and not only the main ones to revive them.
