They had everything to escape the police: telephones, beacons, jammers, falsified passports, false license plates.

But this paraphernalia worthy of the greatest bandits was not enough.

Thursday, September 29, at 2:30 a.m., on the A71 motorway in the Loir-et-Cher, the GIGN and the research section of Versailles (Yvelines) intercepted their go-fast which was coming from Spain to Ile-de-France.

In the carrier car, the soldiers got their hands on nearly 400 kg of cannabis resin intended to be sold in Île-de-France and the rest of France.

Two suspects are arrested.

Four hours later, three other men in their thirties were arrested at their small crown.

During the searches, the gendarmes discover narcotics, money, ammunition and a luxury watch.

Sunday, at the end of their police custody, they are presented to the investigating judge of Versailles in charge of the judicial information, indicted and placed in pre-trial detention.

The business begins at the beginning of the year.

On January 14, a 41-year-old man who lives in Bagnolet (Seine-Saint-Denis) was arrested by customs officers at the Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines (Yvelines) tollbooth on the A10 motorway.

His car has fake plates.

What does not help the motorist's business is that they also find in the passenger compartment two weapons, ammunition, a jammer, false license plates, a flashing light, a bullet-proof vest and cash.

A suspicious team

The research section of Versailles is seized of the investigation with the central criminal intelligence service of the gendarmerie and the interministerial research group (GIR) of Yvelines.

The profile of the arrested man interests them.

They understand that he is part of a network of traffickers organizing transport convoys of narcotics between Spain and France.

Several weapons and their ammunition were also found.

Surveillance is set up, carried out by the observation and surveillance group of Île-de-France (Gosif).

The investigators discover that the network is made up of seasoned offenders, known to the courts.

One of them is the subject of a search warrant after a four-year prison sentence in connection with a previous case of drug offences.

This team is suspicious.

She uses many stolen vehicles with false license plates and uses war telephones, that is to say prepaid portables which they get rid of quickly.

After seven months of investigation, the gendarmes finally managed to identify eight convoys importing narcotics carried out by this network.
