The branch of the Revolutionary Youth Union in As-Suwayda announced today the names of the winners of the free reading competition “Reading Marathon” for youth over 18 years old from various youth associations in the governorate.
The first place in the competition was won jointly by Miqdam Al-Muaidi and Lana Abu Saab from the Al-Quraya League, while Madeleine Azzam from the Western League took second place, and the third place went to the young woman Raghad Al-Shaar from the City League.
Haneen Al-Kuntar, head of the Preparation, Culture and Information Office in the Revolutionary Youth Union branch in Sweida, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the competition was characterized by a spirit of competition between young people from different youth associations who have knowledge and a love for reading and reading, stressing its importance to encourage self-education among the young generation.
The competition, which was hosted by the Youth Branch headquarters on the twenty-ninth of last month, included probing the books read by the participants, the way they interacted and expressed them, the impact they had on them and the extent of the cognitive benefit achieved from them.
