Essonne: a 21-year-old man killed with a stab in the throat in Juvisy-sur-Orge

“We heard screams, we thought of a fight between young people.

It was on the way down that we saw a body lying on the landing, ”says Aminata *, a resident of the Jules-Ferry residence in Juvisy-sur-Orge (Essonne).

This Sunday, around 1:30 p.m., a 21-year-old man died at the entrance to the building after being stabbed in the throat.

"Friends of his had contacted the emergency services," continues Aminata.

My spouse tried to give him a pressure point while waiting for the firefighters to arrive.

" In vain.

According to testimonies collected on the spot this Monday morning, an altercation took place in an apartment located on the ground floor.

The man, injured, would then have fallen on the landing.

"The victim was not known to the police", indicates the prosecution of Évry.

An investigation for murder and violence in meetings has been entrusted to the departmental security of Essonne.

A dispute over a car?

“Six people have been taken into custody, the hearings are underway.

Some of them do not live in the town of Juvisy-sur-Orge.

The origin and the circumstances of this altercation must be determined but according to the first elements, it is not a settling of accounts between rival gangs on the background of drug trafficking or other.

In the residence, some residents evoke a conflict around a car, still parked in one of the parking spaces.

"It's the gray car that's there," points a maintenance worker at the residence.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, Aminata remains traumatized.

“This morning I had to go to work.

I couldn't get down the stairs, she says.

I was already planning to move, now it's certain, I want to leave.

To try to reassure local residents, Lamia Bensarsa Reda, the mayor (various right) must organize a public meeting in the coming days.

"The neighborhood shouldn't be set on fire.

Residents have the right to their tranquility, underlines the elected official.

This drama is an isolated, private affair.
