After the parents found out, they arranged for their daughter to drop out of school and return to the mainland. However, last Friday (September 30), the female victim received a call again, asking her to participate in a "secret operation", taking photos and videos disguised as being imprisoned, and sending them to the gangsters for action.

The scammers sent the video to the parents of the female victim and demanded that the parents pay a ransom of 5 million yuan.

Since the case involved imprisonment, the police attached great importance to it, and the Kowloon West Regional Crime Squad took over the investigation. The suspected case was He wrote, directed and acted himself, dressed himself in tomato juice as blood, as if he was being violently treated, and sent a selfie video to the scammers.

Fake police kept in touch with female victim for a year

Superintendent Zhong Yalun of the Police West Kowloon Regional Criminal Headquarters said that the most difficult part of the case was to track down the whereabouts of the victim. He hoped to track down his whereabouts for 22 consecutive hours. Because it was late at night, it was difficult for CCTV to capture his figure.

In addition, the victim was instructed by the swindler to walk on the street in a remote place, and he was not allowed to sit down. The victim walked around aimlessly, and even took a taxi to Hong Kong Island, which made it difficult for the police to track down.

In addition, the swindler in this case was not in Hong Kong. He contacted the victim in Mandarin, and grasped the weakness of the victim's character, and then used a long line to catch big fish. It took a year to understand the background of the victim and become familiar with everything about her. Taking advantage of her introverted personality, she made up a fake story, accusing her of causing 16 victims, and finally making the victim blame herself, fully cooperating with the liar's strategy.

The victim in the case, surnamed Zou, appeared at the press conference to tell her experience of being deceived. She pointed out that at first, the deceiver showed the relevant official documents, police number and arrest warrant, and also had a video call. After seeing the other party's appearance, she believed it more. After contacting each other, the other party also shares things in life and builds friendship with each other.

Listen to fake police at the mercy of making abused films to "help catch bad guys"

The fraudster claimed that she had been in a high-risk area and asked her to hand over her personal information. She also claimed that she was involved in a criminal case, and the investigation had reached a preliminary conclusion, falsely claiming that Nv Zou failed to properly handle personal information and caused 16 deaths due to her mistake. The masses were deceived, and she felt remorse and guilt for the incident, and wanted to make up for her mistakes.

Because she was studying in Hong Kong, the fraudster asked her to hand over a security deposit of 250,000 yuan. She believed it to be true and remitted the money to the other party.

Later, the swindler pointed out that she installed monitoring software on her mobile phone, instructed her to take a selfie video to trap some criminal gangs, and even asked her to pre-record a video of her safety, but she did not expect it to be used for extortion.

As for why she was deceived, she explained that the other party falsely claimed that she would make up for her faults, assist the police in investigating the case, and asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement, not to mention the incident with others.

Because she believed the words of the liar and believed that filming the video would help the police to investigate and lead out criminal gangs.

Within 22 hours of her disappearance, the other party asked her to keep changing places and not to have contact with others, so she walked on the street for 22 hours.

Later, the police found her on the street and showed her the photos and videos she had taken, accusing the scammers used to extort 5 million yuan in cash from her mother, and asked her to listen to the voices the scammers used to blackmail her mother.
