The allegations weigh heavily: Alfons Schuhbeck (73) is said to have evaded more than two million euros in taxes – the star chef is now threatened with jail for this.

His criminal tax lawsuit before the regional court will start on Wednesday.

Will it be his last big performance?

Munich - It's about his reputation, his companies, his entire life's work.

Above all, if Alfons Schuhbeck (73) has to answer to the district court tomorrow, it's about his freedom.

Because the public prosecutor's office is charging the star chef with tax evasion: He is said to have smuggled two million euros past the tax authorities and obtained tax advantages of over one million euros.

If this is confirmed, that means for Schuhbeck: jail instead of a kitchen.

He could be in jail by Christmas.

Until December 22nd, the court will hear the tax lawsuit codenamed ginger - of all…

Pictures from the Oktoberfest recently showed Schuhbeck clearly struck.

From his environment you can hear: “Of course, the whole situation is taking Alfons a lot.

Such allegations do not go unnoticed.” It is serious: Schuhbeck knows that.

Because from a sum of more than one million euros, the Federal Court of Justice for tax evaders has ruled out a suspended sentence.

Schuhbeck-Spezl Uli Hoeneß (70) already had to experience this: in 2014, the ex-Bayern boss was sentenced to three and a half years in prison – he had evaded 28.5 million euros.

The big difference: Hoeneß acted as a private individual, with Schuhbeck it's about corporate networks.

During an audit, the tax office first encountered irregularities, then the tax investigators moved in.

Especially in the Orlando and the Südtiroler Stuben was determined.

Schuhbeck is said to have reduced income through manipulation and evaded taxes.

Explosive: IT specialist Jürgen W. is said to have systematically supported the star chef.

He is accused of aiding and abetting and will also be in the dock.

Schuhbeck will need good explanations in court.

According to tz information, however, he will not comment at first.

His lawyers Markus Gotzens and Sascha König will read a statement for this.

This is planned for room 134 in the palace of justice - the place where Uli Hoeneß was once sentenced.

Not the best omen for Schuhbeck...
