A front end that evokes both the super sports car MC20 and the SUV Grecale with vertical lights going up on the fenders, proportions, a profile and a rear that refer to the old Granturismo: Maserati did not take many risks to the new generation of its Granturismo on the roads at the end of the first half of 2023. This new model, which continues the lineage of the 2 + 2 coupés, sees its length gain 40 mm to reach 4.96 m while the height remains unchanged at 1.35m.
As for the trunk volume, it is similar to that of a B-segment city car with 310 liters.
Like the Grecale and the MC20, the new Granturismo will be available in thermal and 100% electric versions.
To avoid pachyderm weight, the hull uses more than 65% aluminum.
In its V6 versions, Maserati announces a weight of 1,795 kilos.

From launch, the Granturismo will be available in three versions: Modena, Trofeo and Folgore.
The first two will be powered by the 3-litre twin-turbo V6 Nettuno, distinguished by its dual combustion with pre-chamber borrowed from F1.
This ignition principle improves efficiency and specific power.
The power of the Modena comes out at 490 hp.
That of the Trofeo adds 60 hp to deliver 550 hp to all four wheels.
More GT than sporty, the Granturismo dispenses with the dry sump and swaps the dual-clutch box for an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
The Trofeo version will be distinguished from its little sister by the presence of an air suspension.

The range will therefore be headed by a Folgore electric version announcing up to 830 horsepower with the boost.
(560 kW excluding boost).
This power is based on three 300 kW motors.
In theory, this model claims a maximum torque of 1,350 Nm. The electric machines will be powered by a battery with a capacity of 92.5 kWh (83 useful kWh) placed in the floor.
It operates at 800 V, which will accept up to 270 kW of charge and recover up to 100 km of autonomy in 5 minutes.
Accelerations should be mind-boggling: 2.7 seconds to reach 100 km/h;
8.8 seconds to pass the 200 mark.
Finally, to know the interior of this beautiful GT, you will have to wait a little longer.
On reading the press kit, it is a mystery that it should be largely inspired by that of the Maserati Grecale.
