"Always stay 17":

On the one year anniversary of her death, the family of the late 17-year-old Little Yael Melnik held a memorial yesterday at the Or Akiva cemetery.

According to the suspicion, Melnik was buried while alive at a construction site in Kiryat Motzkin by her guide Edward Kachura.

Melnik was hospitalized at the "Ma'ale Carmel" mental health institution in the Carmel Castle, where Kachura worked as a brother and a relationship was formed between them.

Her sister Ruth said: "My little sister, today it's been a year since you were taken from me. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss you and remember you, whether it's in people who remind me of you in the mirror, whether it's in the form of speech or behavior that reminds me of you.

"I want you to know that you are a little angel in heaven, and I adore you for everything. About two months ago you were supposed to celebrate your 18th birthday, you will never reach that age again, you will always remain 17. I wish that the day will come when the murderer pays his price. Thank you that you watch over me, grandma and grandpa from above, we always feel you with us."

Grandmother Ludmila told painfully: "It's a sad day for all of us. A year has passed since my granddaughter was murdered due to negligence. This should not have happened. A year has passed and the longing only grows. I promise you that we will continue to attend hearings in court so that the murderer receives a severe punishment."
