The Togolese government confirmed on Monday (October 3rd) that the leader of the deposed Burkinabè junta, Lieutenant-Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba, had taken refuge in Togo after the putsch.
Paul-Henri Damiba is in the country in the spirit of the country's commitment "
to peace in the sub-region
", said Togolese Minister of Communication and government spokesman Akodah Ayewouadan.
