The rapper Vegedream, author of the anthem "

" (reference to the 2018 World Cup) was robbed on the night of Friday September 30 to Saturday October 1 in Seine-Saint-Denis while he was going on a "
gallant
" date, AFP learned from police sources on Monday.
The 30-year-old musician with 1.6 million Instagram subscribers went around 1:00 a.m. to an address in Villetaneuse for a “
gallant
” date set on the internet, according to a police source.
On the spot, “
several individuals took him to task in the common areas of the building.
He was molested and received a tear gas blast
,” a second police source told AFP, who did not wish to specify what had brought the rapper to this place.
The singer's jacket and keys were stolen from him.
Slightly injured, he was taken care of by the firefighters and treated at the Delafontaine hospital, without his life being in danger.
The investigation is entrusted to the police station of Épinay-sur-Seine.
Extremely popular in France and French-speaking Africa, Vegedream garnered 430 million views on its music video for "
Ramenez la coupe à la maison
", which became the emblematic song of the French team's victory at the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
