1. Lula da Silva gets more votes than Bolsonaro

Luz Inácio "Lula" da Silva, candidate of the Workers' Party, obtained 48.43% of the votes in the presidential elections when the count reached 99.99%, according to the Superior Electoral Court.

The current president, Jair Bolsonaro, achieved 43.20%, and both candidates will contest the second round on October 30.

To have won in the first round, a candidate would have to have obtained more than 50% of the votes.
